OUR MISSION

Our Mission

The Marbella Scholarship Foundation is a tax-exempt public charity, founded in 1995 by a group of members of Marbella Country Club in San Juan Capistrano, California. The sole purpose of the Foundation is to help fund college educations for local students. 

Senior boys and girls who have participated on a golf team and have attended high school in South Orange County are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Golfing ability is not a criterion for receiving the scholarship. Members, children and grandchildren, of Marbella Country Club families are not eligible to apply for the scholarship. 

Each year the competition for the scholarship attracts applicants from all of the public and private high schools in South Orange County. Academic achievement, community service, financial need, letters of recommendation, and a personal interview are all considered for the award.
